Feed a Workout?

9 May

By Alya Alyssa Kattan

I received a question from a lovely fan about what to eat before a workout.

Thank you so much love for the question and please everyone keep them coming!  Xx and always thanks for visiting my blog!

If you’re exercising for 1 hr or less, a good option would be a grilled chicken sandwich.

Rules to remember: eat a meal 1 or 2 hrs before your workout with at least 200 calories, 20 grams of protein, 30 grams of carbs.

    Hi Alya,
What about while doing workouts? Whats the preferable things we should have while taking up strenuous gym regime to avoid any weaknesses and to keep our energy level high!

Hi Mais. I workout around the same time as you as well. After your workout, you should have a protein shake within half an hour, and then eat an easy-absorbing dinner. This can be grilled fish and veggies or any protein and veggies, or a vegetable soup. Alternatively, you can eat an apple and then eat your dinner; although protein shakes are neccessary for muscle recovery and fat loss.
