Drink up for better health & skin

Carrots are loaded with anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals and are low in calories and fat.  They help with night blindness/vision, cancer, heart disease, aging, and beautifying skin, hair, and nails.  You only need to drink 8 ounces of fresh raw carrot juice daily to benefit from this super food.  If you like your carrot juice with a little kick, make the easy to make recipe below.

Carrots contain the following super healthy nutrients

Vitamins: A, K, C, B, E

Minerals: calcium, magnesium, potassium and phosphorus, iron, zinc, manganese, copper, and selenium

Zingy Carrot Juice

Serving: 1

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 large carrots
  • 1 inch cube of ginger (2.5cm cube)
  • ½ lemon

DIRECTIONS

  1. Wash carrots, remove the green tops and slice the carrots to fit your juicer.
  2. Peel the ginger, and slice to fit your juicer.
  3. Chop the skin off the lemon.
  4. Juice all the ingredients together and enjoy.

You may like it with less ginger so start with a tiny piece first and add more as you like.
