Fight Aging with Tuna

I like looking for natural and tasty ways to fight aging.  What’s this secret ingredient that makes tuna so powerful at slowing the hands of time?  Selenium     It helps preserve skins elasticity by keeping it smooth and tight.  It also stops free radicals created by UV exposure from damaging cells.  Tuna is high in protein and Omega-3’s, low in fat, and contains niacin which lowers cholesterol and helps the body process fat.  Looking younger never tasted better!

Want a little twist to your ordinary tuna fish sandwich, try the following recipe.  This is not your same old tuna salad sandwich!

Nutty Tuna Salad Pita

Servings: 4 


  • 1 pouch (6.4 oz.) Albacore Tuna in Water drained
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1/4 cup raisins or 1/2 cup seedless grapes, halved (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, pecans or almonds
  • 1/2 cup low-fat plain yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp. dry dill weed
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 pitas, halved
  • Curly-leaf lettuce leaves


  1. Combine tuna, celery, raisins, and walnuts in medium bowl.
  2. Blend yogurt and dill weed; toss with tuna mixture.
  3. Line each pita with lettuce; fill with 1/4 of the tuna salad.
