Boost Brain Power

I am not a huge fan of mornings, it just seems like it takes my brain forever to wake up!  That’s why I love eating breakfast foods that help kick start my brain into high gear.  If you need a little help waking up a sluggish brain, try the below recipe.

Tip: Make any food smarter by adding berries and flax seed to it.  To meet your daily quota of flax seed, sprinkle 1 tablespoon on salads or mix it into a smoothie. 

Smarter Waffles

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 whole grain waffles
  • 1/2 c frozen berries, thawed
  • 1/2 c low-fat plain yogurt
  • 2 tsp ground flax seed

DIRECTIONS

  1. Toast the Waffles.
  2. Add the berries, yogurt, and sprinkle the flax seed.

    totally getting into flaxseeds now. I eat ‘The Food Doctor Apple and Walnut bar’ in the mornings, it has no added sugar and its made from real juicy apples and chopped walnuts, combined with sunflower, hemp, linseeds, papaya, quinoa and buckwheat. Check out the link babe xx
