Trick your stomach full

By Alya Alyssa Kattan

Having a hard time controlling your appetite?  Can you not just eat a few potato chips?  Do you stuff yourself until you feel sick to your stomach?  Well don’t despair!  Try the proven tips below which will help you eat less and feel full.

Tip #1. Eat on smaller plates-it is proven that the bigger the plate the more we eat because of the need of a visual cue of a clean plate to signal to our brain that we had enough.  Switching to a smaller plate can help you reduce your calories without even trying allowing you to save anywhere from 100 to 500 calories a day!  This equals to 1 lbs of weight loss a week.

Tip #2. Use tall skinny glasses-many studies have been done which have proven that people pour less when using tall skinny glasses.

Tip #3. Another thing I like to do if I must have chips or candy, I buy the single serving sizes.  This trick allows me to remain in control of my eating which really works wonders for me (before if I had a weak moment and had a couple of cookies I would think that I have ruined my diet and pig out like crazy on junk food like there was no tomorrow).

Remember folks eating healthy isn’t about deprivation but moderation!  You can eat whatever you want in moderation!  Happy eating everyone!
