Fat Fighting Foods

Want an easy & delicious way to combat fat? Well here are 3 of my favorite foods that do the work for you so you can spend less time in the GYM!  

Your besties in battling the bulge:

Cinnamon

This miracle spice can shrink your waistline! Studies suggest that using 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon may have a stabilizing effect on blood sugar levels so it may prevent a postmeal insulin spike-this increase normally occurs after you eat and “signals the body that it should store fat rather than burn it.” (Self Magazine).  Sprinkle it on your oatmeal, coffee, tea, or yogurt to add sweetness without adding calories.

Air-Popped Popcorn

This delicious skinny snack is very low in calories!  3 cups of plain, air-popped popcorn contains less than 100 calories and 1 gram of fat.  You can pig out on it and still fit in your skinny jeans 🙂  An added bonus it’s visually satisfying, plus it takes time to eat so it will help you fill up!  It’s one of my fav snacks.

Berries

They contain loads of Vitamin C.  Studies have shown that berries can help you burn up to 30% more fat during exercise!  Try this fat blasting concoction next time before your workout: blend 1 cup berries and ¼ cup balsamic vinegar.

    totally agree…i used to eat lots of air-popped popcorn during the last couple of months and i still managed to lose around 5 kgs! it makes you feel so full!
