Boost a Treadmill Workout!

The treadmill seems to be a favorite of many at the gym and for good reason-it provides a good aerobic workout burning lots of calories.  Follow the 3 below tips to burn even more calories to  slim down even faster!

    1. Set the treadmill at 1%  incline to get the same workout as running or walking outside on a flat surface.
    2. Ignore all the “fat burning” and “cardio training” charts on the treadmill equipment. The key to burning calories is distance, not intensity. The longer or farther you go during your treadmill workout, the more calories you burn.
    3. Maintain the right form on the treadmill: good posture, shoulders back, and your head looking forward, not down at the floor. Relax your hands and let your arms swing naturally.  Don’t HOLD on to the railings. If you hold on, you decrease the intensity of your workout burning 20 to 25 % less calories!
