Black and bleu burgerI love Perez Hilton’s website and I like to check it on a regular basis for some juicy gossip! Sometimes his posts are soooo hilarious & outrageous.  I also love the fact that he is so opinionated and gives it like it is (doesn’t sugar coat anything).  If you’re in the mood for some controversy check out his post below.

Restaurant Compares Black And Bleu Sandwich To Chris Brown’s Abuse Of Rihanna

How the heck does a restaurant expect their customers to come hungry by posting completely distasteful comments that make light of domestic abuse?

Georgia restaurant Chops & Hops posted a picture of their Caribbean black and bleu sandwich on Facebook last Friday with the comment:

Well we were going to do @TimTebow today but decided to trade for a sure thing this week. Instead @chrisbrown, @rihanna and us teamed up for a award winning celebrity sandwich. Put your hands on this caribbean black and bleu sandwich. Caribbean spiced marinated sliced ribeye blackened then look out for the bleu cheese, sliced tomato, silver Lamborghini onions, and shredded romaine. Chris Brown won’t beat you up for eating this unless your name starts with a R and ends with A.

Our mouths MIGHT have been watering had they left out Rihanna and Chris Brown. What a low blow and it definitely did not help their cause. As the comments stack up underneath the picture of the sandwich, it’s clear their customers are not happy and as a result, the restaurant has vowed to donate proceeds from sales to a domestic abuse charity.

In an effort to clean up their nasty public image, Chop & Hops owner Mychell Lang wrote:

The owners of C&H would like to make sure everyone knows that we and our staff DO NOT SUPPORT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. Many of us have been affected by domestic violence in some manner and realize that this is no joke.

We have been involved in fundraising for Project Safe Team 6 and we fully intend on donating proceeds (times 6 – in honor of Team 6) from the sales of the burger. C&H continues to strive for a community driven, family oriented, great food and great service environment. We will continue to be involved in our community fundraising and charities near and dear to our hearts.

If domestic abuse was truly “near and dear” to the owners’ hearts, then that product description should never have been published. However, mistakes happen and at least they were quick to issue an apology accompanied by a donation to a great cause.

Would U ever eat at a restaurant that posted tasteless jokes on a public forum such as Facebook?
