I am obsessed with the Dr. Oz show ;)! I saw this episode the other night and I am def. doing this!

Detox diets are all the rage in Hollywood.  Today you’ll find detox diets that promise to help you lose weight, boost your energy levels, get rid of toxins, and much more. However, many of these popular detox diets have you constrict your caloric intake to insanely dangerous levels which can rob the body of important nutrients and place the body in starvation mode, which actually slows your metabolism. Also following an unhealthy detox diet can cause dehydration, fatigue, dizziness, nausea and even colon damage.

So I was super excited when I saw this super healthy detox on the Dr. Oz show.  I am doing this cleanse this weekend-the drinks look delicioussssss!!  Read on to get the recipes.

Hey my gorgeous love!!  Thanks for your interest in my blog and for the awesome question!

Detox is the body’s natural process of getting rid of toxins from the body which are inhaled from the environment and eaten from lots of bad for us foods.  Since our bodies naturally get rid of toxins by themselves, many health professionals don’t believe they are necessary stating that there is no evidence that detoxing diets are helpful.

I am not into doing the lemonade diet, eating only fruits, taking laxatives, or following any crazy or extremely low calorie cleansing diets.  What I am into is detoxing the healthy way by eating foods that are loaded with all that good stuff (antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins) which promote healthy liver function-speeding up the waste removal process.

Below is how I detox!  Also if I have a bad weekend of binge eating, I eat less for the next several days to give my body a little rest.   Overeating is a bad habit which should be stopped; it causes a lot of illnesses.
